Crayons Melting on Radiator is an abstract fluid poured acrylic painting on a 16x20x.5 inch stretched canvas. The fluid pour technique travels from the painting's front surface to its .5 inch sides. In my 2nd grade class we sacrificed our Crayola nubs to the Great Radiator. Nothing made that bleak industrial monster more beautiful than a rainbow of wax melting down its hissing pipes. (This was all done with great risk as the reprimand was getting one’s name on the chalkboard.) In the spirit of sacrifice, I offered all my leftover paint from other projects to this endeavor. My canvas became the Great Radiator and I watched my colors melt and ooze with great satisfaction and without any fear of getting my name put on the chalkboard.
